The approximate itinerary of this private 3-day shore excursion of St Petersburg:

Day 1

  • 9:00-11:00 - meet the guide right after the passport control
  • 11:15-13:15 - have a guided visit to the Hermitage, the biggest Russian museum of arts. You will see the most impressive halls of the Winter Palace, and works of great masters as Leonardo da Vinci, Titian, Velasquez, Rubens, Rembrandt, and others.
  • 13:30-14:30 - take your time for lunch or a coffee stop
  • 15:00-16:00 - enjoy a sightseeing boat tour along rivers and canals of St Petersburg and see amazing views of the city's major highlights from another angle.
  • 16:00-17:00 - return to the cruise ship

Day 2

  • 9.00-10:00 - head to the south to visit the summer residence of Paul I
  • 10:00-12:00 - visit the Grand Palace of Pavlovsk in a classical style that resembles an Italian villa and enjoy the stunning architecture of its gala halls and reception rooms
  • 12:15-13:15 -  take your time for lunch or a coffee stop
  • 13:15-14:15 - travel to Peterhof, the summer residence of Peter I
  • 14:15-15:45 - visit the Lower Park of Peterhof, the complex of fountains, cascades, and sculpture which is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world
  • 15:45-17:00 - take a chance to see the most beautiful station of the subway and return to the cruise ship

Day 3

  • 9:00-11:00 - head to the city center to explore St Peter and Paul's Fortress, walk on the ground of the oldest construction of St Petersburg.
  • 11:30-12:00 - visit the Church of Our Savior on the Spilled Blood 
  • 12:30-13:30 - explore the Faberge Museum with an audio guide and see a marvelous collection of Imperial jewelry
  • 13:30-15:30 - you will have free time for walking, shopping, trying local food and other activities of your choice. You can have a stop for hot chocolate at the Zinger House to enjoy a panoramic view on the Nevsky Prospect and Kazan Cathedral, shop for souvenirs and books or simply walk.
  • 16:00 - return to the cruise ship
